1. The old system left a lot of questions unanswered, such as who paid for a course, what their partner's name was and what role (lead, follow) they danced. This required a volunteer to chase down the information by calling and emailing people, and sometimes left us with names like "Partner of John Smith" on our class roster.  The new system saves us time and effort.

2. The new system allows us to save information for each person who pays, saving them time when using our system in the future. This includes the ability to store names of students who you normally register, and allows registration of multiple students in one step.

3. We need address information for members so we can mail membership cards.

4. As a non-profit organization, we are required to report our earnings for tax reasons.  We need for anyone who pays us for a course, gift certificate, or membership to provide address information in case we are audited.  (We do not sell or give this information to any other organizations -- please read our privacy policy if you have concerns.)
