  • "Jump & Swing Show" -- Come see Seattle's premier jump blues combo Tim Casey and the Bluescats with the award-winning Eastside Alleycats Dancers the 4th Saturday of every month, starting Jan 28 and running thru 2006 at The Tulalip Casino in Marysville. Free dance lessons 4-5 pm, showtime 5-8 pm.   A history of 40's Jump Blues, 50's Rock & Roll and the dances the music inspired.  21 & over, no cover, full bar/food, dance floor.  Don't be square, be there!   • Some local dancers were recently spotted on the silver screen. A movie called "Police Beat" features a lindy dancing scene shot at the Century Ballroom that included Savoy instructors Guy Caridi, Terisa Hawk, Travis Whetman and Lorraine O'Neal; Performance Troupe Member Shelley Herzog and former Za-Zou-Zay member Jason "T-Bone", among others. Shelley even got to kiss the star of the show!  The film was shown at the Seattle International Film Festival.   • Online Registration and payment via Paypal is available for our classes. You can use a credit card or bank account to send payment to us for a class. Just click the Online Registration link and follow the instructions. Signing up in advance saves you $5 per class! (1/10/05)


  • Blues Underground is the 3rd Friday of the month. The other Friday dances have been cancelled. (10/15/06)


  • You can now renew your club membership online via credit card! Just log on and click on the appropriate link - you will be taken to a page where you can choose the correct type of membership for you. (If you can't remember your username or password, email the webmaster for assistance.) After choosing the membership type, you will be taken to the Paypal website where you can pay securely by credit card. Please allow 1 week for processing of membership renewals. (1/9/04)


  • The SSC Performance Troupe is happy to announce that within one year's time we have had three couples get married! They are Guy Duryee & Natty Vong, Gordon Schryer & Beth Rohrmann, Mark Hill & Tatiana Kaminsky -- all regular members of the SSC PT. New sequined costumes are planned to match those shiny rocks on the follows' fingers. Not to say you might have the same luck, but we always welcome understudies to join our rehearsals.   • Big news! The 3rd Friday of every month is now Blues Night at Dance Underground! We'll be bringing in some extra bluesy music and super-cool workshops too! We'll have a FREE blues class and you'll enjoy the sweet spinning of great DJs. (6/10/03)
